Virgin Hotel Nashville
Nashville, Tennessee is a vibrant city that is home to a thriving music and entertainment scene. Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Virgin Hotels brings a unique style of hospitality to Music City. From its stylish modern rooms with luxurious amenities to its dining options and dynamic event spaces, this modern boutique hotel offers everything guests need for an unforgettable stay in Nashville.
On a short weekend jaunt to Nashville in June of 2023, my sister and I chose to stay at the Virgin Hotel Nashville because of its location and amenities. It made the perfect base station for exploring the Music City in a short 36-hour period. Let’s take an inside look at the swanky hotel, shall we?
Walking into the pet-friendly hotel, it’s easy to be swept away from the welcoming interior. There is a beautiful modern chandelier that hangs over the comfortable seating area by the bar and pool table.
Throughout the hotel, be sure to look around and up to see nods to the music industry. We found the deconstructed musical instruments hanging from the ceiling to be a whimsical touch.
The walls of the elevator are creatively decorated with black belts.
Virgin Hotels Guest Rooms
There are 262 chambers at the hotel. [Chamber is English for what we Americans refer to as “bedroom.”] Guest room options are Chamber King, Chamber Queen 2 Beds, and Grand Chamber King. Room sizes range from 291 to 592 square feet.
Unlike many hotels, the two-chamber concept has distinct areas separated by a sliding barn door (with a peephole!). In the dressing area, the sink and closet areas are partially concealed by a sheer curtain. Across from the sink is a separate stand-alone vanity.
An amenity that we like to see in a hotel room is an in-room safe. The safe at Virgin is large enough to fit a laptop and is a good place for storing keys and valuables.
If you are a fan of “water closets,” you will be happy to know that the toilet is in its own little room affording one a little more privacy.
Although there is no bathtub in standard rooms, the generously sized shower stall can comfortably accommodate two people. The shower boasts a rainfall showerhead and a handheld option, offering a choice for your shower preferences. Additionally, the shower and sink are supplied with Virgin’s signature toiletries, though some may find the scent to be a little on the masculine side and not to their liking.
During our stay in a King room, we experienced the luxurious comfort of the patented lounge bed, which happened to be the largest and most comfortable hotel bed we’ve ever slept in.
We enjoyed stunning views of Nashville from the large window seat featured in our room. There is a cozy seating area adjacent to the window complete with throw pillows making it a perfect spot to daydream of making it big.
Other in-room amenities at Virgin Hotel in Nashville include a large flat-screen TV with satellite channels, USB plugs throughout for easy device charging, and a fully stocked mini-bar with a curated selection of refreshments and a SMEG mini fridge. Virgin likes to tout that there are no hidden fees and that you will get “street level minibar prices.” It was rather nice not having to go out to get a can of Diet Coke and only being charged $3.
Amenities
For those who like taking a dip in a swimming pool, you’re in luck. The rooftop pool on the 14th floor boasts amazing views of the city and is a truly happening place. Be sure to go early to secure your spot for soaking up some sun.
There’s even a photo booth so that you can take some quick pictures to remember your trip. [Does anyone know who that girl is on the sticker?]
The fitness center at the hotel is equipped with state-of-the-art exercise machines, free weights, and cardio equipment. I encourage you to step inside the bathrooms near the fitness center, but I recommend that you do not do it if you are inebriated.
The hotel assesses a $27 daily amenity fee. This fee covers the free high-speed wifi (is it even really free then?), 24/7 gym access, in-room bottled water (go ahead and drink it!), coffee, tea, and complimentary drip coffee at the Funny Library Coffee Shop.
Dining
Funny Library Coffee is a quirky little coffee shop that combines the warmth of a bookstore with the coziness of a cafe. Guests can purchase cold-pressed juice, beer, wine, and cocktails as well as light bites, pastries, snacks, and sandwiches. Time is of the essence – it’s only open from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Commons Club Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, with brunch on the weekends. The restaurant harvests fruits and vegetables picked from its own culinary garden. Nestled on the hotel’s ground floor, guests can savor handcrafted cocktails and, for a touch of exclusivity, book a private event in the unique Shag Room. Who wouldn’t want a touch of that Austin Powers flair in their dining experience?
The Late Great is the hotel’s speakeasy and guests must join the guest list to get in.
The Pool Club is the ultimate haven for sun worshippers at the rooftop swimming pool. While you won’t find a breakfast spread here, the menu offers a delightful array of daytime treats. Indulge in refreshing poolside beverages, light bites, and savory snacks to keep you energized under the Nashville sun. As the day turns into night, The Pool Club transforms into a vibrant social hub, serving up delicious cocktails and a curated menu of evening delights.
Room Service – Hotel guests don’t even have to leave their room to enjoy breakfast and lunch (between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.) or even dinner (from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.). You can order breakfast from your cozy bed via the TV or Virgin Hotels App.
Pet Amenities
Fido is in for a treat at the hotel. Be sure to let the hotel know that you will be traveling with your four-legged best friend ahead of time so that your pup can enjoy:
- A pet-friendly chamber with a porcelain watchdog just outside the door.
- A dog bed that will be as comfortable as their human’s bed.
- Food and water dishes, along with a few treats.
- A Virgin bandana so that your pet can show off his/her style.
​Smoke-Free
Smoking is prohibited in the hotel. Don’t even think about lighting up. If there is any evidence that you did, you’ll be subject to a cleaning fee of at least $250.
Lucy – Virgin Hotels App
In keeping up with modern technology, Lucy, the Virgin Hotels app. This magical application allows guests to book stays and get members-only rates, order room service, and control the thermostat, lights, and TV remote. You can even use it in place of your room key.
Check-In/ Check-Out
According to Booking.com, check-in is at 3:00 p.m. and check-out is at noon. According to the Virgin website, the times are flexible. (We arrived late at night and left early and had no issues.
Guests must be over 21 to check in.
Parking
Private parking via valet will run you $52 per night, plus tax.

Lynda’s Opinion
This is a very nice, swanky hotel. While it is not cheap, it is within walking distance of so many things to do in Nashville. I am glad we splurged and would not hesitate to stay here again if my budget permits.
