Don’t let the appearance of The Shack fool you – it’s not one of those hole-in-the-wall joints.  It has some of the best food that you will find on the North Shore.

One special feature about The Shack that you aren’t going to find elsewhere is the Shackyard.

The Shackyard

The Shackyard is fully-enclosed with yard games for kids of all ages.   For adults, the outdoor patio space is a great place to enjoy the live acoustic music (every Friday from 6-8, weather permitting), the full bar, and television.

When the weather is nice, it’s a great place for everyone to enjoy The Shack’s delicious fresh food made from scratch, including their house-made hot sauce, Caribbean Thunder, and their own tortillas.

Inside The Shack, diners are encouraged to “come in & take off” in their funky family-friendly atmosphere.

The Food at The Shack

Proveleta Fried Cheese – roasted garlic, marinated tomato, and crispy bread

You might have a hard time picking ONE thing to eat at The Shack once you look at the menu.  There so many delicious options, it’s a place that you will want to eat at more than once.

Items on the menu include American classics such as The Shack Burger with tomato onion jam, a Fried Chicken Sandwich with pimento cheese, and Pork Chops with potato hash and sweet-sour cabbage.

burrito

Chargrilled Pork Burrito – smoked pork, wild rice, black beans, cotija cheese, cilantro crema, pineapple habanero salsa

Dishes with a Latin flair include burritos, Cubano (house smoked pork, Chisesi ham, spicy zucchini pickles, swiss, whole grain mustard, black beans), and a Taco Bar with fried fish, carne asada, fried avocado, and smoked pork options.

Chicken Chimichanga – shaved lettuce, pickled red onion, sauce trio

For dessert, I HIGHLY recommend their bread pudding.
