People who want to try some of Paula Deen's creations in a restaurant setting have a few locations from which to choose - Savannah for The Lady & Sons or in Branson, Myrtle Beach, Nashville, Foley, Panama City Beach, and Pigeon Forge at Paula Deen's Family Kitchen.
In Pigeon Forge, Paula Deen's Family Kitchen is located in the perfect spot -it's by the entrance to The Island. After enjoying endless portions, you can stroll around The Island to burn some of those tasty calories.
The restaurant itself is located above the shop that sells Paula Deen branded merchandise. To get to the restaurant, take the escalator which is right past the check-in. Call ahead seating may be available one hour before arrival.
The meal is served "family style," meaning that the southern-style entrees, sides, and desserts are brought to the table and shared amongst the diners.
Lunch and Dinner at Paula Deen's Family Kitchen
Instead of a typical bread basket, the meal is started off with servings of traditional Southern breads - hoecakes and savory biscuits.
Guests at each table select 2, 3, or 4 entrees to be shared. On the lunch and dinner menu items are Best Ever Southern Fried Chicken, Beef Pot Roast, Chicken-Fried Pork Chop, Ol' Fashioned Southern Meatloaf, Spare Ribs, Chicken & Dumplings, Georgia Fried Catfish, and Roasted Chicken.
The table also selects four side dishes to share. Selections include Green Beans, Creamed Potatoes, Collard Greens, Fresh Candied Yams, Creamed Corn, Cole Slaw, Poppy Seed Tossed Salad, Baked Mac and Cheese, Black Eyed Peas, Broccoli Casserole, Tomato and Cucumber Salad.
Once diners have had their fill of the main course, they can select individual desserts to complete their dining experience. Choices include Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, Paula's Seasonal Cobbler, and Banana Pudding.
The Drink Menu
The drink menu includes southern classics such as Luzianne Iced Tea, Coca-Cola, and Strawberry Lemonade. Other items to wet your whistle include diet Coke, juice, milk, beer, and wine. (Drinks are not included in the price of the meal.)
Breakfast at Paula Deen's Family Kitchen
Breakfast at the restaurant at breakfast is much like lunch and dinner. Guests sit at a table and then select 3 "Down Home Dishes" for the table to share. Menu items include Chicken and biscuits, Apple Cinnamon French Toast, Sweet Piggies In a Blanket, Alrighty Then Scrambled Eggs, Ooey Gooey Butter Pancakes, and Everday Breakfast Casserole.
Guests also choose one meat item to share. The breakfast meats are Black Pepper Bacon, Country Ham, Sausage Patties, and Applewood Smoked Center Cut Bacon.
Last, but not least, the table gets two breakfast treats. Selections include: Creamy Hashbrown Casserole, Country Fried Potatoes, Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, Southwest Cheesy Grits, Fried Grits, and Fresh Fruit.
Breakfast is served from 8:00 am until 10:15 am.
While diners cannot bring home a doggy bag or any leftovers, they are welcome to eat all that they like. They will be happy to refill your selections should you run out and want more.
