Paula Deen's Family Kitchen

Published: Jan 20, 2022 · Modified: Sep 1, 2023 by Lynda · This post may contain affiliate links.

People who want to try some of Paula Deen's creations in a restaurant setting have a few locations from which to choose - Savannah for The Lady & Sons or in Branson, Myrtle Beach, Nashville, Foley, Panama City Beach, and Pigeon Forge at Paula Deen's Family Kitchen.

In Pigeon Forge,  Paula Deen's Family Kitchen is located in the perfect spot -it's by the entrance to The Island. After enjoying endless portions, you can stroll around The Island to burn some of those tasty calories.

The restaurant itself is located above the shop that sells Paula Deen branded merchandise. To get to the restaurant, take the escalator which is right past the check-in. Call ahead seating may be available one hour before arrival.

The meal is served "family style," meaning that the southern-style entrees, sides, and desserts are brought to the table and shared amongst the diners.

Lunch and Dinner at Paula Deen's Family Kitchen

Instead of a typical bread basket, the meal is started off with servings of traditional Southern breads - hoecakes and savory biscuits.

Guests at each table select 2, 3, or 4 entrees to be shared.  On the lunch and dinner menu items are Best Ever Southern Fried Chicken, Beef Pot Roast, Chicken-Fried Pork Chop, Ol' Fashioned Southern Meatloaf, Spare Ribs, Chicken & Dumplings, Georgia Fried Catfish, and Roasted Chicken.

Can you share your husband's Cream Cheese Squares recipe. I would love to try his version. I recently had Paula Deen's Okey Gooey Bars in her restaurant and I loved the crust. It was thinner and lighter, more like a Graham cracker crust than the traditional recipes that use cake mix for the crust. Thanks!

The recipe is on Southern Kissed and is called Ooey Gooey Butter Cake. The recipe does use cake mix for the crust and was very similar to the cake we had at her restaurant.
